Haba's Discovery Blocks are ideal for curious beginning builders.
The set consists of six colorful non-toxic blocks that each contain a stimulating feature, including a jingle bell, kaleidoscope and safety mirror. The blocks are small enough to fit comfortably in tiny hands, but don't pose a choking hazard.* Priced at around $28.00, Discovery Blocks aren't cheap, but they are well-made and nicely complement more advanced Haba block sets.
Although Haba recommends Discovery Blocks for children 12 months and older, my seven-month-old thoroughly enjoys holding and examining his-I'd rank them among his favorite toys.
